My path to becoming a health and wellness coach was unexpected, but it's been an incredibly rewarding journey. Growing up a math and science kid, I knew in my early teens that I wanted to be an engineer. Fresh out of engineering school, I dove headfirst into my career as an electrical engineer, and I worked in the field for almost four years developing cellphone technologies for a global electronics brand.

After getting married and having my son, I decided to stay home and focus on being a mom. Then life brought a major turning point, one that put a crucial realization into sharp focus: my health was fundamental to absolutely everything. When my son was 17 months old, the physical demands of motherhood led to a painful overuse injury in my right shoulder. The pain was so intense I couldn't carry him anymore, and even basic household tasks became a real struggle. Being pregnant with my daughter at the same time added a whole other layer of worry, because I couldn't stop thinking about how I would possibly care for two little ones.

Realizing I desperately needed help, I began looking for answers. This became my sole motivation: not just to find a way out of pain, but to build a strong body so I could be the active, present mom I wanted to be, without limitations holding me back.

Finding Reformer Pilates changed everything. Through its focused strength work I rebuilt not just my shoulder but my entire body from head to toe. As the pain subsided, something powerful emerged. I discovered the incredible feeling of everyday strength, and having a strong body made me feel empowered, confident, and capable again.

With staying healthy as my main goal, I started digging into the world of nutrition. I was amazed by the concept of food as medicine, the idea that our daily food choices could have such a big impact on our health. My kitchen became a place of discovery. I started playing with new recipes packed with whole foods: fruits, veggies, beans, and whole grains. I was determined to make healthy meals my family didn't just tolerate, but actually looked forward to eating.

For me, healthy living was becoming more than an interest. It was a true passion, and I wanted my work to reflect that. That direction led me back to school for an MBA focused on healthcare, which opened the door to writing clear, evidence-based health information.

Now, as a certified Wellcoaches® health and wellness coach, I have the privilege of walking alongside my clients every day as they transform their lives. Nothing is more rewarding than celebrating their wins, both big and small.

As an engineer and health writer grounded in research, I apply my analytical abilities and evidence-based insights to my coaching. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be completely yourself, feel truly heard, and explore your aspirations with a compassionate listener by your side.
